Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson have withdrawn from the IPL 2021 for personal reasons, Royal Challengers Bangalore confirmed on Monday (April 26). The pair will only be available at the end of the tournament.
“Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson are returning to Australia for personal reasons and will not be available for the remainder of the IPL season. Royal Challengers Bangalore is offering them full support in all possible ways,” reads a statement from the franchise.
The Australian couple follows Andrew Ty, who has left the Rajasthan Royals camp to return home. Amid growing fears, R Ashwin also left a bio balloon in the capital Delhi to overcome Covid fears about his close family.
RCB is third in the table with four wins from five matches. While Richardson participated in the 2021 IPL matches, Zampa failed to reach eleven.
